Sunu Wibirama serves as faculty member in Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. His primary research area includes computer vision, eye-gaze tracking applications, computational cognitive, and human-computer interaction. He is also keen to work in usability testing and user experience (UX) based on eye tracking analysis. He was a visiting scholar in Tampere Unit for Computer-Human Interaction, University of Tampere, Finland.

He enjoys traveling, photographing daily life, and capturing human interaction. He also writes several articles about academic liferesearch and educationscientific writing, and statistical data analysis. Outside academic activities, he writes several popular articles about Indonesian, Thai, and Japanese cultures, social media interaction, and how to be a better technical writer. Dr. Sunu is JICA research fellow, member of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), IEEE Consumer Electronics, IEEE Biometrics Council, and IEEE Sensors Council. He is Coordinator of Communication and Promotion Division of IEEE Indonesia and Editor in Indonesian Scholar Journal. He was Vice Head of Academic Affairs for Undergraduate Program in Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering, UGM during July-December 2015.
